Very disappointed and concerned. My children ate from this food truck at a pop-up event in the Mission Valley area on May 31st. This was the only food they had eaten that day. Each child had approximately 3–4 small birria tacos. The truck was serving hibachi plates and birria, which I’m assuming is connected to their Birria Kings restaurant. Unfortunately, shortly after eating there, my kids became very sick and have been vomiting continuously since then. Even with medication provide from their pediatrician, they cant keep anything down. As a parent, this has been extremely concerning and stressful. I want to be fair — I have eaten from this business before and personally never had an issue, which is why this experience was so unexpected. However, because of what happened, I feel it’s important to bring attention to possible food handling, temperature control, or food safety concerns so they can review their processes and make sure everything is up to standard. I truly hope this was an isolated incident, but I strongly encourage the business to take food safety seriously and investigate what may have happened.

I ordered two chicken plates and the food was very bland. It reminded of hospital food!!! I had to make my own teriyaki sauce to give it some flavor. I’m trying to understand who is keeping them in business. I definitely will not eat from this place again.

Food had no sauce or seasoning. Extremely bland. Spent over $150 via Uber eats, barely got a refund. I’d avoid this place.

This is, according to Hibachi Kings, a standard serving size of their vegetable side. Mind you, it costs $4.75. Mushrooms were missing too, but I don’t think even mushrooms would have saved this fiasco. I went back to ask about it, and was told “the container makes it look smaller than it is”. It’s a quarter of a zucchini with 6 strings of onions is what it is. No thank you. The meat tastes good. So there’s that.

My new favorite hibachi in San Diego! Came here after I going down 3rd street and my original spot wasn't open yet so me and my buddy decided to come here. We shared the kings Burrito which was so amazing! I got the 3 meat plate with filet migon, chicken, and shrimp on top of fried rice. Really good their filet migon was probably the best tasting steak I've recently had. My friend got the steak and lobster plate over white rice and fell in love with it. DONT FORGET to get the yum yum sauce so amazing!! Can't wait to come back.
